The words split into 16 page turns before any art was made.
- Discover the moonseed in its brass case
Beneath the oldest tree, Otto found a dark seed sleeping inside a brass case.
- Plant it under the full moon
He planted it in soft earth and gave it water beneath the full moon.
- Shelter the first shoot from rain
When rain bent the new shoot, Otto held a broad leaf over its head.
- Reveal silver light moving through the roots
Below the soil, silver points gathered along every reaching root.
- Meet the fully opened moonflower
By the seventh night, a white moonflower opened taller than Otto.
- Ask three woodland friends what it might need
Rabbit, Hedgehog, and Badger studied the brass case and listened to Otto’s question.
- Follow the vine toward the old observatory
Together they followed the silver vine toward the old hilltop observatory.
- Align the brass lens with the telescope
Inside, Otto lined up his little brass lens with the great telescope.
- Watch the vine climb the open dome
The moonflower climbed the dome and turned its bright face toward the sky.
- Find a tiny moon forming in the bloom
In the center of the bloom, a tiny silver moon began to form.
- Let starlight transform the stone room
Its light sent constellations drifting across the observatory’s curved stone walls.
- Pause at the difficult choice
Otto wanted to keep the small moon close, but Rabbit reminded him to look up.
- Open the dome together
Four friends pulled the ropes and opened the old dome all the way.
- Release the moon into the sky
Otto opened his paw, and the little moon rose out of the flower.
- See its light cross the whole valley
One bright moon shone over the forest, the stream, and every roof below.
- Plant a new moonseed at dawn
At dawn, Otto planted the next blue seed beside the observatory.
The cast and visual rules are written down before the rest of the book is generated.
Otto stays a young red fox with large ears, white muzzle and chest, a dark-green knitted vest, navy shorts, white-tipped tail, and round brass locket. Rabbit, Hedgehog, and Badger remain the recurring supporting cast; the night palette, tactile fur, brass, stone, and luminous white flower are fixed before the remaining pages are generated.
Two real story pages tested the character before the remaining pages were generated.
These two pages also appear in the final sequence below; they are shown here as the approval gate, not counted twice.
The evidence here is deliberately narrow and literal.
The two displayed views are one finished image shown at different crops, so they demonstrate free composition and layout control only. They are not evidence of a generative mask edit. A real object removal would appear as a separate paid version in the workspace history.
What happens when pixels really change
Repainting a detail, removing an object, changing an expression, replacing a background, or generating a full new version is small paid work — about $0.20 each — and every version stays in the page’s history, so the original remains restorable.
